Overview of the organisation and distribution of responsibilities within the USKA Executive Board — which has been operational in this composition since the 2026 Delegates’ Assembly.

As President of the USKA, I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone.

The USKA is an association registered in the Zug Commercial Register under Swiss law. The association has no commercial interests and is not profit-oriented. It is the sole national association for amateur radio and represents the interests of all radio amateurs in Switzerland to the outside world.
The entire Executive Board is collectively responsible for the association’s activities.

The USKA’s mission is to preserve and further develop the extensive specialist knowledge of wireless communication across all frequency bands. This also includes the systematic promotion of young talent in order to maintain this expertise.

The USKA also acts as the point of contact for all authorities and political bodies in Switzerland, and represents Switzerland in international bodies such as the IARU (International Amateur Radio Union).

The President chairs the association’s meetings and represents the association externally. For members, the relevant department heads are the points of contact; for administrative and general matters, the secretariat.
The legality of the actions taken by the association’s governing bodies is monitored by the Audit Committee (GPK) — which submits an annual report to the members.

The governing bodies of the USKA are:

General Assembly
General vote by all members
Executive Committee, including the President
Executive Committee staff, for specific tasks
Treasury / Finance
Office and secretariat
Audit Committee (GPK)

In total, around 40 people are actively involved in the day-to-day operations and further development of the USKA.
The sections are independent associations and, as such, are automatically members of the USKA. They have voting rights at the annual delegates’ meeting.

Collective members are independent associations with links to amateur radio. They enjoy the same rights as individual members and can make use of all USKA services. They do not have voting rights.

The President’s main responsibilities are:

Representing the USKA’s interests externally.
Strategy and development, including strategic partnerships
